The winery and the vineyard

At Can Corró estate, certified Malvasia and Giro saplings were planted in 2015 on clayey-silty very stony and alluvial soil. The rows were with a NE-SW orientation that favours the circulation of sea breezes that ventilate the area daily, even though the plantation is 25 kilometres from the coast.

Mediterranean climate

Vigorous Malvasia

The climate, Mediterranean with moderate rainfall (550mm), high sunshine and long summer droughts requires irrigation, which is applied very sparingly. From bud break at the end of March until the harvest, which takes place at the end of August, there are five months of intense crop care.

Malvasia is a very vigorous variety, with long shoots and it’s very sensitive to diseases, making it a delicate crop. The harvest is not very abundant, but with large bunches, loose berries, bright yellow and very pleasant flavor, which offers a good quality must with a very appreciable acidity to start the winery production process.

In an attempt to ensure the greatest environmental sustainability of the vineyard, to regenerate and improve the soil and environmental biodiversity, organic farming and moderate production have been chosen.

In 2024, the winery was completed on the estate itself, which facilitates careful harvesting, immediate entry into the winery, and winemaking aimed at achieving greater expression of the aromas of each variety.

The winery building, designed by Marès Arquitectura under criteria of green construction and energy efficiency, is strategically located on the road that goes from Inca to Puig de Santa Magdalena. The winery has been designed so that during visits you can contemplate the landscape of the vineyard and the mountain framed by the winery itself.
